En tant qu’agence de marketing en ligne (SCORE BV), nous achetons lors d’enchères internationales des noms de domaine performants générant un trafic important. Nous investissons ensuite dans le développement du site web et y plaçons des liens vers les sites de nos sponsors. Le jour où nous avons acheté ce nom de domaine, nous ne savions pas à qui il avait pu appartenir, car nous sommes une entreprise belge.
Ce que nous savons, c’est que l’ancien propriétaire ne souhaitait plus conserver ce domaine, car la redevance annuelle n’avait pas été payée, ce qui entraîne la mise en quarantaine du domaine avant qu’il ne soit proposé sur des sites d’enchères. Il arrive parfois que d’anciens propriétaires souhaitent racheter le domaine. C’est possible, mais nous avons entre-temps beaucoup investi pour renforcer encore davantage le domaine. Cela explique pourquoi nous ne sommes intéressés que par une offre de rachat supérieure à 25 000 € plus 21 % de TVA.

As an online marketing company (SCORE BV), we purchase high-traffic, high-value domains at auctions around the world. We then invest in enhancing the website’s performance and place links on it to our sponsors’ websites. On the day we purchased the domain, we were unaware of who the previous owner might have been, as we are a Belgian company.
What we do know is that the previous owner no longer wanted the domain, as the annual fee had not been paid, after which the domain is placed in quarantine and subsequently offered for sale on auction sites. Sometimes former owners wish to buy the domain back. That is possible, but we have invested heavily in making the domain even stronger. That explains why we are only interested in a takeover offer of over €25,000 plus 21% VAT.
